This blog is about tax law and the attorneys that practice it. As a writer though sometimes I feel compelled to speak up about the unspoken. It’s not that I want to stir the pot or even lay down on my sword, but I think there are some universal truths when you get into the courtroom that are unavoidable.
The first being that female defense attorneys are all milfs. I have not met a female defense attorney that didn’t look extremely sexy in her professional attire. I think they know this and know the effect it has on the prosecution.
Hot lawyers are nothing new, but what is new the sexuality being expressed by older women. When I was growing up, every woman over forty had the mom cut and the world “Milf” wasn’t used until I was already in my 20’s.
After American Pie, the word became more and more popular. I think there was this cyclical effect where younger guys were talking about it and older women were starting to think “hey, I’m still hot.” This feeling women were having started influencing professional attire and eventually leading to shows like “The Real Housewives of …” and sites like Milfaholic (see Milfaholic Review) becoming really popular.
This leads us back to the courtroom. 20 years ago, you might see a skirt or two in a courtroom but these days it can look like the setting for a porn. These women don’t show too much or wear bikinis during a case, but they do exude a new sexual confidence and aren’t afraid of a loose fitting blouse or skirts just a little tighter than they used to be.
Seriously, how are we supposed to handle ourselves as men when this is the new “business professional” ?…
On one hand, it’s great. I love a sexy and confident woman as much as anyone, but it’s also starting to get distracting.
I’m sure many people reading this will find it to be sexist and I don’t know if I can disagree with them. The truth, however, is that when we (as men) see this sexy wardrobe draping your breasts and hugging your butt, we have a neurological reaction. Some of us lose our breath, some lose our focus, and many of us lose all ability to think rationally. Call me sexist for the double standard here, but at least recognize that this issue truly is different for guys than it is for girls.
